Default 2007 S-Type - Secondary Air Injection Monitor

I have a 2007 S-Type in the shop that originally had a P0414 for the Air injection switching solenoid. We replaced the solenoid and cleared the codes. Then road tested to satisfy the monitors. We completed all the monitors with the exception of the Secondary Air Injection Monitor. The car has been through many start up cycles, and I am very surprised that this monitor has not completed. One week later, I have coupled up my handheld scanner to see that the Air Injection Monitor still hasn't been completed!

Does anyone have any insight on what it takes to satisfy this monitor? I can't find a published drive cycle for the Sec air injection. Is there a PID that can be monitored to confirm the running of the test? The Autologic tool wont retrieve the Mode $06 Test ID#71 that is associated with this monitor. Any suggestions?

Did you find out how complete the Secondary Air Injection Monitor? I'll be changing my switching solenoid soon to fix P0414 and will see if AutoEnginuity surfaces that Monitor and if so, for how long.

Which engine(s), guys?

SAI relies on upstream O2s, evap, and a bunch of stuff affecting air, fuel, etc.

My P0414 is x350 4.2 NA SAJWA71BX6SH07592 . I found this description in the X350 Workshop US002 and so am a little surprised that fuel, evap and O2s contribute to the system. I can say that my air pump cycles on at startup and given the warm morning temps here in the Sonoran desert, the pump remains on for only 35 seconds and cycles off at the same time high idle drops.

Secondary Air Injection
System used for a period of time each
time the engine is started, unless
certain temperature criteria are met.
Pumps air directly into the exhaust
system which generates extra heat and
reduces the time taken for the catalytic
converters to reach operating
temperature

My apologies this is what I posted on another forum after the issue was resolved;

"Final Update:
Customer brought car in last week, all monitors had run and the car passed smog. 2 weeks of driving to satisfy the monitor!"

I re-read your post see you changed the vacuum switching solenoid and not the vacuum operated diverter valve C2C32933. Bummer: I ordered and installed a new diverter valve when I installed the new serpentine belt and rad hoses... and after clearing DTC's, the P0414 re-appeared. I ordered the switching solenoid XR855179 and will swap that out next week-end.
