Hello everyone ! Any tips on replacing the fuel pump in an 08 S ? I have it almost out, and Im having issues with separating the black canister from the housing, and the pump I got( which supposedly is a replacement for my year) sure looks different, and too long. Struggling with getting it all out of that hole !

 

I have been waiting for a long time to have your question answered. Preferably with pictures .

 

I have done it one a other type of car and it was a 10 min work. So far I see that it's the same with a jaguar s. You pull the back seat up. There you see a rubber shell you have to pull that one off. Under there is a big black/white shell with a plug remove the plug and the small rubber pipes look out there are 2 o rings in it. After you have pulled it off twist the black/white shell and you pull the fuel pump out and so you can replace it. A tip beacus in the pipes there can be some fuel in put a cloth under the pipes beacus the smell stay fore some days.

Thanks for your input gordon, but the 05 MY's are different locking rings than the 2003 MY's.
