4.0l Tensioner Blade question
Hey guys, on a 4.0l tensioner blade, should the timing chain sit in the channel of the plastic guide? I think I keep getting the wrong blades because the chain sits on top of the sides of the channel instead of down in it, as if the chain is too wide. I know the 4.2l chains are true rollers and they are narrower than the 4.0l solid link type chain. I compared the blades I got to a set from a 4.2l and they are identical.

Any techs out there know?
I was wrong in saying the blades are the same, I noticed on the back the older ones have a machined pad. But the plastic guides that go on the rail are the same. |
