Default ABS failure Code C1095

Hi
I have a Jaguar S-Type from 99. The ABS light is on.

I tried to soder the print kind of like this, but with luck: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...c-fault-44272/

I bought a abs block/module on eBay and had my mechanic swap it. Unfortunately it did not work.

I then took my car to a certified Jaguar dealer, who tells me that the problem is a code C1095. The odd thing now is that the mechanic at the jag dealer tells me that he was not able to code the modules (original or eBay) to the car?!? What I get from this is that the car refuses to recognize the module as legit modules. My question is: If I were to buy yet another module on eBay (not the cheapest one this time :-)) is it then just plug and play, or do I have to have the mechanic "code" it to get it to work.

Edit: it should say "without luck" in the second line

It has been found by other people that if you replace ABS module When it has exactly the same part numbers then it should work but when it has a different part number then it has to be programmed by the SDD/IDS program so that the ECU excepts it.

Ok. That is great news.
I'll give it a try.
