Air Condition and Heating Malfunction
This is a 2004 Model S 6 cylinder. Air Conditioner works fine until it decides not to work. Then the left side puts out warm air, right side puts out cool air (not truly conditioned air, just cooler than the left side). not able to establish a pattern to this. It just happens randomly. After I park the car and come back, it may work perfectly, or if may resume the same pattern (Left side hot, right side cooler). Length of time having been shut down usually has no effect on the working of the system.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. |
More than you ever wanted to know here:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ol-how-185002/ You're at a slight disadvantage due to the intermittent nature of the problem. Your Dual Climate Control Valve (DCCV) could be acting up. The DCCV has a very high failure rate. Or the DCCV could be fine and it's responding as designed but an input is erratic. To help isolate the fault, try using manual mode for a few days. Drive the commanded temperature down until LO is dislayed. This bypasses most of the automatic inputs. If the system now behaves itself, you'd know the erratic input had been coming from the automatic side of the control system. |

Thanks for such a quick and detailed response...It will take a while to work through this, but I will respond when I finish.
