Default communication fault please consult your dealer

hi i'm wondering if you could help me? a few days ago i had a flat battery on my 02 str my friend jumped it with leads it has been fine now for 2 days.
this evening i went into Tesco and started the car, there was a message on the touch screen saying communication fault please consult your dealer when it was on climate mode also the EML has come on, the car drives fine and all other menu's (cd/radio nav phone) work properly but climate does not function.
if anyone can shed some light on the problem would be much appreciated.

How old is the battery? You get all sorts of weird problems with one that's failing. The fix is a new one! Search will get you many threads about it.

hi jag v8 im not sure how old the battery is but i had the car 9mths ago so its older than that. i've had it plugged in today i got codes

p1699 (climate control module)
p1260
p1582

i am assuming it is a problem with the cc module ive got the touch screen so the module is different, ive looked through the forums and can only find the changing of the other module
(https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...003-faq-36719/)

Chase the battery before you spend a fortune and many hours on anything else.

Also, check very carefully there are no signs of damp or water in the boot (take out the spare when checking).

You need to listen to JagV8! Replace NOT charge your battery. Do some reading if you need to convince yourself.

My car just gave me the same error message, but it is related to the Bluetooth Phone not working properly. I just bought the care 6 days ago. So, I think I'll get the battery checked and replaced if it is getting weak.

Probably better to start a new thread as this one is very old.
