They are saying 45-50hp with porting and the 1.5 pulley, and 55+ with the 2.5/3 pulley.

I was looking at their package(s), and I saw the $575 'supercharger remanufacture' upgrade. Does anyone happen to know in what situations that would be necessary/preferable? My supercharger still barely has 20,000 miles of use, so I would think it is not beneficial to remanufacture it...but, on the other hand, it is almost 8 years old. Thoughts?

When you take the blower off and there is a lot of play in the within the snout then yea.....but most of them are not needed and they get inspected upon ported....so if they are bad, they will let you know....So I would not pay for the rebuild since it will be "rebuilt" when put back together......and sent back to you to be installed

X2 on that. Compared to earlier generations, our fourth generation Eaton blowers come with stout bearings and seals. I'm betting on a preventative rebuild at 100k miles minimum. I'm leaning towards sending my blower out this winter for a port/polish, and a 3 lb pulley. While there, a shop can decide wether to perform a rebuild.

In my own experience Dyno tuning is only for HP. Not drivability I had my euro M6 turbo tuned on a Dyno but when it came to just driving around it was not very driver friendly, I ended getting a friend and basically street tuning the car whilst driving much more appealing, I can do this because I installed a TEC3r standalone ECU ,this was done because Dinan who installed the original turbo set up back in 1987 did not want help when I had some electronic issues with the car, all they said was send it back to us and we will try and fix it. Only trouble is that I live NY they are in CA so it was easier and probably cheaper for me to install this system it runs a wide band O2 sensor so you can read your air fuel ratio. You can adjust every thing with this Timing - injector pulse - pulse width - timing advance - boost activated retard - engine rpm limit - soft limit shutting down every other spark or every other cylinder spark so you don't over rev or lean out the engine. I have had this on my bmw for around 8 years and no problems, I am sure that there is probaly other systems out there now maybe better may be not? I would not have any concerns about installing the TEC3r in another car, the situation I had is that this system uses Gm sensors so I had to install all new sensors that came with the kit. You tune the car off of your lap top which has like a virtual dash board showing everything you need to know. It also has a recall setting where you could do a run then play all the sensors and a/f ratio, exhaust temp, inlet temp, max boost etc, All in all a pretty nice set up.
I think now that some of these system do a plug and play set up where you would unplug the ECU and plug the TEC3r into the stock wiring. But probably not for the Jag although I have not checked but his could be a possibility for those who want to MAX out the power. Paul
