can anyone tell me what these codes are!!!!!
got in my car started it was running bad. check engine light came on. took to advanced and had codes ran. this is what i got:
p0301=cylinder 1 misfire p0303=cylinder 3 misfire p1316 manufacture control ignition system or misfire p1111 manufacture control fuel air metering can anyone help on this issue? |
Use Search for each of them. Any P1 code is maker-specific so you MUST look such codes up for the right maker. Currently you have the wrong meanings.
Anf for goodness sake put your car details (year, engine etc) in your profile!! |
... if not in your signature, or garage, at least in your original post.

They mean get ready to reach really deep!

ok sorry the car is a 03 stype v-8 with 119k on it. the first two are coil packs i am assuming and the p1111 is a vac leak according to what i have read. i also have seen where running these cars threw a car wash can cause moisture on the engine which will cause the code to be thrown. its the p1316 that i dont know. but further more i didnt know if they were all related.

I don't have my JTIS with me to check your DTC codes, but the P1111 is not a vac leak.
The others may be misfire due to bad coil packs, and if so... easy to replace. On similar failures, oil leaked into the plug well and killed the coil. When/If someone confirms the two codes for you, and if they're misfiring, be sure to keep an eye out for fluid source. |
P0301 and P0303 refer to misfires
If, on the first trip, the misfire is severe enough to cause excess exhaust emission, the individual cylinder DTC plus DTC P1316 will be logged. The CHECK ENGINE MIL will not be activated. If the fault reoccurs on the second trip, the individual cylinder DTC plus DTC P1316 will be flagged, and the CHECK ENGINE MIL will be activated. If DTC P1111 is flagged after DTCs have been cleared, all engine management OBD diagnostic monitor drive cycles HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. Sorry that is all I can find. Mark |
I found this on the JTIS
DTC-P1316 FAULT DESCRIPTION - Misfire excess emission NOTE: This DTC will flag only when accompanied by an individual cylinder misfire DTC: P0300 – P0308 POSSIBLE CAUSES - Cylinder compression low Worn camshaft / broken valve spring(s) Fuel delivery pressure (low / high) Fuel injector(s) restricted / leaking Fuel injector(s) continuously open Fuel contamination Fuel injector circuit fault(s) (Injector DTCs also flagged) Spark plug failure / fouled / incorrect gap ECM to ignition coil primary circuit fault (Cylinder misfire detected DTC also flagged) Ignition coil failure |
This is all I found on P1111
If DTC P1111 is flagged after DTCs have been cleared, all engine management OBD diagnostic monitor drive cycles HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. |
thanks guys for all the help!!!!!! it goes for service on tues. we will see what it is for sure!!!!
