Refreshed the system , running smooth , ain’t no ‘check engine’ lights , thou this is what it shows on the screen
Does anyone Know what we’re looking at ?

JagV8 01-11-2019 03:11 AM

An unwell car unless you fixed it and maybe it's relearning. Those trims look bad.

Probably it's unwell.

JaguarJacks 01-11-2019 09:35 AM

Probably so ...
It’s not shaking like it did , thou the fuel goes Fast
what is it ?
And if it’s the cats , what’s the most efficient and effective way to clean them ??

scottjh9 01-11-2019 09:54 AM

There is a product called cataclean that you pour in the fuel tank...I have used it before with success...your cats may be beyond help though if too much raw fuel went through them...I do not know how to physically inspect a cat converter....maybe using an infrared thermometer and comparing to heat specs

JagV8 01-11-2019 10:17 AM

At least do the checks as for an air leak.

Yes this for sure...if you have an air leak the fueling will still be too rich

JaguarJacks 01-11-2019 11:39 AM

Just lift the car up and look for a leak ?

JaguarJacks 01-11-2019 12:30 PM

And I’ve noticed that when I turn the key for ignition it takes just a little longer to ignite than usual

You can look for exhaust leaks that way...see if there are visible soot marks...exhaust leaks cause problems also...the air leaks Jagv8 is referring too would be intake or vacuum related....the easiest and most thorough way to diagnose these is by doing a smoke test...this test introduces smoke into the engine's intake and vacuum systems under pressure and you look for escaping smoke...ask your mechanic about it, or a dealer if you prefer...it is not a dyi if you do not have the equipment....more than likely the smoke test will reveal your problem areas and pending the results more advice can be given

JagV8 01-11-2019 01:40 PM

Note that any leak - exhaust or intake or evap or wherever - can be so small you cannot hear or see it. You must have no leaks at all.

DTC P0420 = replace catalytic converter after correcting over fueling fault(s) on Bank 1

DTC P0430 = replace catalytic converter after correcting over fueling fault(s) on Bank 2

There is no magic fix for failed catalysts with melted cores. Unburned fuel ignites inside the catalyst melting the honeycomb structure.

between JagV8 and NBCat they have got your problems identified....they are 2 of the best....follow their advice and you will be good to go...might seem like a lot, but that raw fuel did a lot of irreversible damage

JaguarJacks 01-13-2019 08:25 PM

Sounds good
Someone has also told me that after I’ve restarted the system by disconnecting the battery for awhile , it’s gonna go Rich on fuel before it adjusts itself into norm .
Gentlemen , if that’s the case how long does it take for it to re adjust ?

from what I remember reading, it should take about 100 to 200 miles of varied driving.....but, you need to make the suggested repairs before anything will return to satisfactory readings....as NBCat stated...once the converters have been melted the only fix is to install new ones...I would go to an exhaust shop and at least have the converters looked at by a specialist....with plugged and /or melted converters, you run the risk of a fire starting at the converter because of extreme heat produced

That's false.

You can see it for yourself on a working car - yours isn't - as the trims start at zero.

When it comes to the replacement ones, folks have used the Magnaflow 59975 ones (need to be welded by a shop).

Do you all know if there is a CA/CARB compliant version of those Magnaflows?

Thanks so much,

Jeff
