Changing Power Steering Pump

I found some good write ups on the forum to remove the power steering pump.
One suggests having to lift the engine a few inches, an added post to that suggested a work around and not having to lift.
Anyone done this lately, have anything more to add?
I changed the rack - as a previous guy working on it - was convinced this was the problem...... Well when I was running to add fluid, I could see the belt slipping over the stationary PS pulley.....on to this next....

Up to you but I have done it both ways and I will say. Just lift the engine with the motor mounts dis-connected. It frees up a lot of room around that pump. Don't forget the Lincoln LS also uses the same pump. If you have troubles finding a JLR one. I used an LS pump in my 2005 STR and it worked fine. Plus the local parts house had it in stock. With the years going by and the lack of LS parts they are probably harder to get now.

Thanks for your input, good advice and note about Lincoln pump.
There is an 06' in a yard 2hrs from here, based on my removal process in my shop will determine if I can remove in a yard....still cool and wet up here though....

Yea that would not be fun to lay on your back in the dirt while taking it out!

Guys minor detail - this is the "fill" line from the reservoir to the pump, simple rubber line.
