Default Clicking sound

Anyone ever have a clicking sound when driving at slow speeds. I only notice it if I'm driving about 25 mph and if I near something that can bounce the sound back such as a wall or building. Anyone have any ideas what could cause it?? Anyone ever have there halfshafts go out at 60000miles?? The brakes look pretty new when I got it is there something with the brembos that could cause a clicking sound?? There is no vibrations when driving the tires are new with about maybe 3000 miles on them. Gonna check tomorrow for rocks and such in them. Its an 05 STR.

Does it change with speed? Worth braking gently when you hear it, at least.

Could be something as simple as the lousy OEM two-piece lug nuts rattling. The stamped metal caps tend to get loose and do that after just a couple of years or less. Whether they rattle or not, it is always a great idea to replace those OEM lug nuts with solid chrome aftermarket ones....

It changes in the sense that it gets quicker till about 30mph then it goes away. I was thinking it may be a rock in the tire but I have had rocks before and it keeps clicking when its that. I just checked them too and there are no rocks in the tire. Does not change with the brakes either. I tried just barely pushing the brake in case it was a pad rattle and it doesnt go away.

I will assume for now it may be the tires. They are a little noisy in corners so I'm wondering if there is something sticky on them. I'll check that this morning. They are newer and dont break when gassed.

It could be something as simple as a rock being stuck in the tread or a screw or bolt which may result in a slow leak.

Vance, I believe Jon89 hit the "lug on the head". At 30 mph centrifugal force will seat the outer cover of the lug nuts quieting them. Get solid chrome lugs and a new breaker bar.

Thanks looks like my first mod will be new lug nuts. Will let you know if that fixed it.

Two Piece lugnuts. Switched to some one-piece and it went away. When they get loose they are like those old things that you used to put on your bike spokes and make noise.
