DSC System Fault - light on dash -

my 2000 S Type 4L with 97,000 km has had this DSC System Fault light on/off for some time.

It is on when I start the car and when I travel a short while, when I stop, turn off the car & restart, the warning light is off & odometer is on.

I have read through a number of threads & most contributors point to wheel sensors. I also read to replace the battery, I had it tested and they said there is no issue with it.

Most DSC Fault threads are older, 2013, and I was wondering of there are any other people with same issue recently and if the above 'fix' is best option?

Otherwise my car is running great.

Thank you....

What codes does it throw ?

Years back I had an intermittent DSC warning & couldn't find a code. I had to wait till it happened, stop the car &, leaving the engine running, scan for codes to find it. It pointed to the right, rear sensor.
It's also worth looking at the wiring for the sensors in such an old car, esp. where the wiring at the rear goes up to the body & meets the other side in the middle. I've had a problem with that too.

EDIT:- fixed a typo.

HI I don't have a code reader, but I will look up some friends & get a code, thx for rest of your help!

You will need a code reader that can handle Jaguar proprietary chassis codes. A basic OBD-ii reader will not do...
