My S-Type from 2002 has the possibility to fold the door mirrors automatically. This doesn't work on the passenger side. Any tips on what could cause this?

Also, is there a way to make the Jag fold the mirrors automatically when you turn the engine off?

I seem to remember that on a S-Type with navigation, one could choose several options, amongst which to automatically fold the mirrors whith the ignition. I am not sure how this would work on my s-Type sinc I have the basic stero unit.

 

The passenger side is probably rusted up in the mirror, or someone has fitted a cheaper non folding mirror!

No there is not an option for the mirrors to fold with the ignition on the S-Type.
It can be done with the locking but it requires modifications to the wireing.
There used to be an after market module available to do this, but that was when the cars were in productiion and this is no longer made.
