For a start fuel pressure is low, should be up around 50lb.
If you rev the engine do those o2 readings start moving or do they stay at-near 0? If they are not switching at higher RPM, they are shot unless the FT is off by a mile but the car would barely run if fuel trim was off that far. If they begin to act a little more normal at speed we need to start looking for the lean condition. |

Where do I start ?

new O2 sensors on bank 2 , thou O2 readings are at near zero when driving

Start with the basics, assuming you have no hard misses, check all vacuum hoses for cracks/ leaks (especially big ones) , check around all intake gaskets for leaks, especially the itvs (the round plastic things on the r/s of the upper intake, about 2.5 inch in diameter). If you haven't done it, change the fuel filter (hopefully this will help that fuel pressure). At this point you are into the whole mess for a 10 dollar filter and an hour or so in time but we have eliminated the common (and easy) causes. Next I would move on to cleaning the MAF sensor ( I only use electronics cleaner for this, some use carb cleaner but I have seen it eat up the film on the sensor). Make sure to clear the codes and fuel trims before road testing so you can see what effect you really have had on the problem. I think you can clear the fuel trim by disconnecting the (-) battery terminal for appx 1/2 hr ( you can tell if it cleared if the LTFT's read 0 when you turn the key back on.) After this we have to get into more serious diagnosing.

The L-shaped vacuum hose underneath the intake
some of us know everything about Jaguars . |
SMOG , Plate , and all
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...435d984e3.jpeg Did the gaskets as well Simply the messed up hoses under the intake manifold , changed the gaskets while I was at it ps Don’t trust the computers ! Went to a local Jagger who knew the exact L shaped cracked hose , for all S-types are one of a kind (And guess I cleaned that MAF sensor way too thoroughly just to break and replace it ) The moral of the story is ~ Find a Jaguar Specialist for a trouble shoot and go from there |
