No difference in 64 bit EXCEPT you have to enable the 32bit browser as default! First, before downloading the file, you need to make sure you have winrar installed. This is the program that you will use to extract the files to your computer. You can get winrar free of charge from here: IF you have a 32 bit operating system, Click on this link: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar393.exe IF you have a 64 bit operating system, click on this link: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/winrar-x64-393.exe Once you have winrar Installed, click on the link to download the EPC.rar file: http://www.itprosondemand.com/jaguar/EPC.rar Save the file to your desktop just for convenience. You will be deleting this file when you are finished. Once the download has finished you will see the following icon on your desktop: http://www.itprosondemand.com/images/icon.jpg IF the icon doesn’t look like that (The 3 books stacked like that), you have not properly installed winrar, you need to repeat step one. Double Click on the EPC.rar icon and winrar will open, at first at the lower left you will see it counting files, once it is done, you will get a menu that this is a trial version, just click on close. Then You will see this: http://www.itprosondemand.com/images/winrar.jpg Click on the extract to on the top left: http://www.itprosondemand.com/images/extract.jpg The extraction path and options menu will come up – leave the defaults and say OK. http://www.itprosondemand.com/images/extractmenu.jpg This will pop up and it will extract the files – this may take a little while http://www.itprosondemand.com/images/extracting.jpg Once the extraction has finished close winrar. You will have the following icon on your desktop: http://www.itprosondemand.com/images/EPCfolder.jpg Double click on that folder and you will see the following folder: http://www.itprosondemand.com/images/1st%20Level.jpg Double click on the folder “Jaguar Epc v3 10.2009” You will see the following window: http://www.itprosondemand.com/images/2folders.jpg First take the JEPC Shortcut file and drag it to your desktop. Hope this helps with all the install issues. Feel free to ask a question if you have one or need help, BUT please post it here, that way I don't have to answer the same questions repeatedly, and others can read it here rather than waiting for me or others to respond. You can have the same software the dealer has for looking up parts on your PC. Download this if you work on your car. Josworth - I'll PM you regarding JTIS etc. Here's a screenshot: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...1&d=1294278319 Take care, George |
I don't seem to be able to get the files to work. I'm running W7 and when I launch the shortcut some text flashes on the screen then nothing happens. It happens so fast I can't read what it's saying...
The files all extracted fine and they are in c: Any ideas? Thanks! |

Works just fine on Windows 7 64 bit. The confusion might be as to which file is used as the desktop icon.

Btw the pics are flash based, so you prob have the 32bit browser set as default if you are working. George |

As long as you put those two folders in the root forec Probably worth a try... worse case you delete the files. George |
Nice one George/Buck, thanks for the XMAS pressie. :)
|
Much appreciated and looks as if this will be really useful - but I can't get past the logon page. Am using the ADMIN/123 as per readme.txt. Any ideas?

Just click on the link, and it should ask if you want to open it or save it. To the other Poster, yes, Admin and 123 work. May want to try Lower case or Capital A. To the guy with the mac - I saw you downloaded it, I'm actually really curious to see what happens. George |

Install the x64 bit version of Winrar first, so it registers the filetype, then download it.
