gear box fault for 2001 3.0 S-type

The gear box fault light message came on - what do I need to do and will this be an expensive fix? Please advise.

Yeah - you need to have the codes read - it could be a cheap solenoid valve failure, or a frighteningly expensive rebuild. Hope for the best!
