Default The headache continues...see images

Taken a break from Jaguar duties.

To recap...

The Cat is back at the garage in the hope we can eliminate the poor circuit to a) Get cluster warning lamp and mileage working again
b) Get comms line to work and pull codes (currently all 9 ECUs are displaying ERR)
c)Smile again

Can anyone point out this connector block...and its duties (see images)

Thanks to previous shoddy fitting of windscreen - water has been leaking directly onto this area...

It is right behind the engine block in the central position (see images).

The PCM is on the RH side behind the firewall. If you have changed the cabin filter it is directly below that on the inside of the car.

Looking at your pictures, I would definitely clean up that plastic on the first pic. Mine looks brand new. I use something from turtle wax called wet and black to keep it looking new. Might sound crazy but just like your skin needing moisturizer to keep it from showing signs of wear I apply this to all the rubber and plastic parts of the car especially around the doors and the trunk and hood and all looks like I just installed it. Also, if you look at your windshield glass where it touches and locks into the rubber at the bottom above the engine, it was suggested to me to run a small bead of silicone there to prevent water from going up and under and around to get into the engine area. Might again sound crazy but I did it and to date no issues caused by water.

Thanks for your concern for The Welfare of Polypropylene.

However, i'm more concerned with finding the electronic gremlin which is playing havoc with the PCM and deciding to totally ignore diagnostic equipment.
