Default Identify Two Connectors in Trunk

2007 S-Type

Pictures shows a male and a female connector in the trunk.

For what are they used?

You are probably referencing the electrical connectors that are hooked to a shipboard power source to maintain the batteries while the new vehicles were in transit across the pond from the UK to the US. Tuck them away behind the carpets and ignore them....

RHS one looks like the transit relay as mentioned.

Other looks a messy add-on. Beware it doesn't cause grief.
