How many liters of ZF lifeguard 6 are needed for a filter and fluid change on an ' 06 S-Type R.

I usually get 7 ready but it might take less?
Work FAST, the temps come up pretty fast.

I use a modified 'pump-up' garden sprayer.

Also make sure you loosen the fill plug prior to draining the fluid to avoid a difficult situation where the vehicle must be towed to a shop.

I've had to use a 'cold-chisel' to loosen the plug when they wont budge.

Including my latest entry there from yesterday, where I explain as to why 7L is definitely not enough for a full flush, and everything other than a full flush does not make sense...
