Dear All, I feel its only right to feedback to the Jag forum as I had a lot of advice from all you guys. Thanks for that btw! OK I will keep this short n sweet. I have an S-Type 3L Petrol V6 Sports, 2002. Lovely car. I bought it from a friend of the Mrs who lost interest in it, but I found out it had a list of issues which I underestimated. Main thing appeared to be regular 'Limp Mode'. Engine Error, Parkbrake fault, DSC fault and all the dash lights up ... NIGHTMARE! Sent the car to a 'Jag specialist' and wasted £800. They had the car for 10 weeks investigating, and appeared to sort out the problem. Only for issue to come back 2 weeks later. Really annoying! Anyway, I remember the specialist talking about an ABS Module communications problem. So after some more advice from my boss, who has a history of owning different cars, he said don't waste your time, go to Jaguar, Which I did. I put the car in for a basic service, and got a list back of the issues with the car, came to £4000! One of the items on the list was PCM-ABS Module Communications problem. Which I did mention to Jaguar beforehand. I said forget about the rest of items (4 new tyres, leaking pipes, aligning and tracking etc etc) Please resolve the ABS-PCM issue. £300 to investigate and if parts required, will cost more. I Have to say was not expecting a positive outcome, but low and behold, Jag investigated and stripped out the PCM harness ABS Module and THEY RESOLVED IT! I think a broken wire or something like that, and fixed it! I cant tell you how happy I am about the result and have to say a big thank you to Jaguar in Herne Hill, London. Hope this help any of you who are having limp/safe mode issues. All the best, Mannix

Thanks for the info. I would have put money on your problem having something to do, at least in part, with a failing battery. Congrats on resolving your problems. Good luck with the car!
Hello Jumping JF! Thanks for you comment. A brand new battery was put on the car within the last year. New TPS, new alternator and a few other bits. Going back to my local mechanic who will change brake fluid, change alternator belt, collapsed wheel bearing. I need 4x S-types wheels. After a bit of digging, I have XK wheels on car. 245-275 (rears) Jag said this is wrong. Can you help? Regards Mannix

Mannix - What I would do is choose a tire size recommended by Jaguar for my model S-Type (tire options are listed on a tire recommendation placard inside right front door post on my US cars) and mount them to wheels matching OEM specs. Originally Posted by ManoFlem

Hopefully, the other more knowledgeable Forum members will jump in with suggestions. In the meantime, I recommend that you comb through the S-Type Forum using the Advanced Search feature looking for other threads on S-Type wheels. I seem to recall that there are several.
Sorry I can't be more help. I know almost nothing about wheels.
