Locking issue '05 STR

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has experienced locking problems with other STR's. For some reason when I put my car in drive my automatic doors will lock and then re-open. If I push the drivers lock manually all doors will lock, also my key fob will not not lock the veh from outside, I have to lock the veh manually (haven't had to do this since my first car in '85 LOL). Also, I was looking thru the forum trying to find out how to replace the Engine Air Fliter, I came across one post where the guy took the complete air box out! That just seemed extensive for my blood. I was able to get the two tabs to the right off but thats as far as I got! Too nervous about breaking something!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! As a newbie I did look thru the forums for over an hour and couldn't find a answer.
Thanks,
mullinspi

Probably you have a lock that's not working properly. There are existing threads that go into details about roughly how you figure which and what to do - try Search and be persistent :)

The doors are harder to work on than the air box so you may want to take it somewhere.

Thanks for your advice, my car do this last year for about two days and then just stopped doing. I have a appt with my local Jaguar dealership this Monday. Thanks for replying.

Battery

It's funny you should ask that, my car was at belltire getting some new tires and they called me saying that my battery was dead. I gave it a jump thinking they left the lights on. It's been a over a week now and the car starts with no trouble. However, the locks still keep acting crazy. I do believe its the orginal battery.....
