Default New Tires

New tires recently and wanted to recommend them to you guys. These are Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2. They look great and are priced very competitively. Also Hankook has a 100 dollar rebate on these till i believe the 22nd of this month. Got all 4 for 850 with shipping from Tire rack, well 750 when you factor in the rebate.

Ohh i see, are you sure they where Evo2s? because I know the Evo1 had traction issues that apparently they fixed with the Evo2s. So far i have not had any issues. hopefully it stays that way!

An STR would probably chew those Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires up in less than 15,000 miles, assuming the Tiger Paw even comes in the staggered sizes that the STR requires....

I bought a set of Nankang Noble Sports, staggered, for 336.00. I ordered them from Discount tires direct

I did a lot of checking before I bought these that are made by Michelin. Do you have any facts to back your statement ? Here are 0-60 and 1/4 mi speeds that shed no light..

2003 Jaguar S-type 3.0 0-60 7.9sec 1/4mi 16.10sec /// 2005 Jaguar S-type 4.2 0-60 6.4sec 1/4mi 14.90ec /// 2003 Jaguar S-type R 0-60 5.4sec 1/4mi 13.80sec

Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires were infamous for having very short treadlife 10 to 15 years ago. None of my trusted tire suppliers at that time would recommend them. Perhaps the compounds have been improved in today's version. Keep us posted on how your set holds up....

I love my Conti DW (not the DWS) Extremes I have on my Sube XT hot rod-they don't last long but great ride, very soft & sticky (so not for the track, nor is my Stype) and I'm about to swap out a set for the newish but flat-spotted Michelins on my Stype. My car sat for 2 years and the Mich's are out of round-not a big Mich fan anyway with 40 years of experience with them-always a problem tossing treads.

Also, the new DWS06s are getting great reviews but don't need the 'S' in Fl(we hope).
