Quickie question in an area im lost.......
Multiple Jaguar owner and forum member but just picked up a 03 S type with non working AC. Im a hands on kinda guy ( have to be when owning a Jag IMHO) and dont hear the compressor working at all. Blows nothing but hot air and when the gauge is applied to the low side its reads 100+ PSI. I did a quick search but really didnt find anything specific to this problem and if I missed it I apologize but, anyone have a quick thought on what it may be.
Its a one owner, 55,000 mile car in great condition but it was traded in and the Jag dealer decided not to fix it so im thinking its a rather major issue. I dont care, just dont want to spend hundreds finding out if you guys can lead me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

You should be able to hear the clutch kicking in as you switch the AC on and off.
Is this pressure with the car running?

I wonder if a quick trip to an air-con specialist is in your future - it might be the fastest way of diagnosis. Has the S got a fault code process like the XJ/XK? see if you can pull any codes...
