Replacing brake lamp bulb

So my car has started warning me that my right brake lamp bulb is out...

So before I dig into things I thought I would check with the collective to see if there is any complexity to replacing it. You know, things like hidden clips on the plastic trunk lining that need to be removed or difficult to reach electrical connectors on the blub, etc.

Clearly not a big job, but with one of these cars, I just wanted to check things out first.

Oh, '08 4.2l with NAV and the CD changer in the truck (but don't think that matters since they're on the other side of the trunk...)

Thanks

Not difficult to replace

I just did this two days ago on the left.

Tools needed: Philips head screwdriver; flat blade screwdriver (optional)

1. get the trunk scruff plate off. two Philips head screws, plus a number of clips you pull or pry.
2. take the curved plastic trim holding nut out and fold the trim forward on the side you're working on. Start pulling the trim away from where the scruff plate was and also away from the back of tail light assembly.

3. You will need Sylvania 7225 bulbs. Paid $5 plus tax for a pair at Advance Auto. I replaced both sides so filaments will wear evenly. kept old useable lamp from other side as a spare.

4. On the back of the fixture there are two tabs you depress slightly and simultaneously. Pull the assembly into trunk.
5. Twist light bulb out and put new one in.
6. Make sure it sits securely in fixture (wiggle the bulb to confirm).
7. Put tail light back, check function.
8. Put all trim pieces back and you are done.

Alternatively, there's a full description (with pictures) on page 6-16 of the owner's manual.
