I find myself in a position to replace my headlights on my 00 S Type the "brutal headlight fix" didn't take - all adjusters in both headlights shot! They move all over inside of the housing.

I'm sure this has been explored but can I take a complete OES - HID headlight unit from a 03+ S Type and retrofit it to my 2000 S Type?

If so, is it plug and play?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

 

Yes you can swap, but they are not plug compatible. You will need to hack the harness. Also self leveling feature will not work properly. All in all a big PIA. I would just go with halogen replacement lights, or bake the current sealed-beam units to get to the adjusters and replace them with the new improved versions that have been discussed on this site.

Yes you can do it and ive sold many and installed many into halogen cars. Its just alittle time consuming like all things worthwhile. I do the headlight harness not the car and from theres its 2 grounds and a fuse box 1 wire hookup.

From your post above, I was wondering if you could give me any info on doing the swap from halogen to hid projectors? Do you have any to sell? If not, can you share some details on the wiring mods?
