Series Parts Interchange question

I have a 2002 that I need a headliner, front seats, and windshield cowl. I'm looking at the dealer part numbers and it looks like I can't use anything 2003-2005. Is that correct? I want to be sure before I buy the wrong parts or parts car.

Sounds like you have an x200. These cars may look similar in many ways with some interchangeability on some of the parts but there are some huge differences, particularly from the x202 on wards. Be wary of fleabay etc as there are so many errors as to what fits what model its not funny. The headliner may be the same fabric but has a different profile. Check the how to guides about where to obtain the correct fabric.
The front seats are very different also. Others may know but if you need front seats it may be possible that an x202 and beyond front seat may fit the x200, although be aware of all the module changes from each model that may not interact with your car.

You will find it useful to use the official Jaguar on-line parts catalogue to look up part numbers for your VIN number. Then see if they fit later cars as well:

That's pretty much what I've been doing. It's rather painful and most of the parts I need are not bridging. It's hard enough to find parts for these, even harder now that I'm limited to 3 years production. I guess that's better than later models, since they seem to get more limited after that by my reading. Great.

Yes there were so many changes in part numbers and the actual parts, it can be a complete pain!

It may be a good idea to include your car details in your forum signature including a partial vin number, this will make it easier for others to help you.
See the first line of my one below for an example.
