Not a bad ratio, it isn't to lean at least. For the red line, was the battery shortly before the run disconnected? That can also cause a different a/f ratio as you reset the learned values. A small air leak in the exhuast could also make it slighlty leaner.

Interesting kinks in the AFR at the highest revs! Puzzling.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks bfsgross for the contact!

I purchased the puller, 2.5-3 pulley and low temp. thermostat today and Mike was very helpful with tech-talk and pricing. The puller and pulley won't be shipped until next week as they are out of stock. Have any of you ever experienced belt slippage like the Ford Cobras do? I already installed a new belt and idler pulleys last year at 50K miles.

I will have dynos performed (and track times) to determine if the performance stated matches the performance actually gained at the wheels. Hoping to measure 12+ hp and 20+ trq at the wheels. I hope to get a lot more of STR owners to take their cars to the next level. Stop by my place -- the garage will be ready and tools/puller are here to make it all happen.

Last, do any of you have a supplier for a water/meth system and how about install description w/ pics?

Not really, it’s the rev limiter kicking in. However its more impressive/scary to hear it happen…

avos:

Did your STR ever hit the rev limiter prior to the new pulley install?

Mine very rarely "seems" to hit the limiter on a shift from 3-4 gear about 100 feet before going through the traps. My issue is likely more of a ECU, fuel or transmission issue. It has happened 5-6 times over the last three years of racing -- and I race almost every weekend during the Spring and Fall.

Thanks, the laptop's probably the easiest part. Seems anyone can download IDS (pretty big!).

A Mongoose isn't wonderfully cheap but hey.

Is anything else needed? I guess an IDS subscription - is it from Jag or via the download site? Or both?

Anything else? It'd be nice to have a complete shopping list LOL

Do you have the old style belt (single ribbed) or the newer style (double ribbed)? I would be curious to see if the newer style has less slippage on a small pulley.

@1320racer
Not sure what you mean, are you saying that whilst driving you hit the rev limiter before the transmission shifts sometimes? It would not be right if this would happen. You only hit a rev limiter if you have selected manually a gear.

PS I don’t have a STR, and have done a little more than just a pulley…

@JagV8
You see offers on Ebay for the IDS software, just make sure you have version 125 or higher, as only this one will work with the mongoose adapter, than you are complete.

That AFR actually looks really good.

As to the water/meth inj you can google snow performance, aem or the aquamist is the system I use. I can help with installation although its pretty straight forward. You can expect about a 1psi boost jump if you inj pre blower and cooler IAT and egts. I have not tested how much the iat drops since I do not currently have a reader. It dosnt make a lot of power (5-8 at the wheels for me) but it allows you to get away with running the 3# pully longer before the heat drops off the performance. If you get the car really hot then turn on the mist it makes quite a difference on the dyno, 20+ rwhp on one test, its not making power its keeping you from losing as much.

I've seen them but aren't they just a copy of what can be downloaded free? Isn't a paid-for license / activation key required?

They are exactly the same as the ones you can download, of course you need to buy one where an activation key is provided (many do), otherwise it is useless.

I shift-down manually once in a while to make the exhaust sound cool. I almost never shift-up as mine shifts unpredictably and slow.
sorry avos!
I know your buildup, an awesome 600+XKR -- I just responded too quickly without paying attention.

Belt is the new style (multi-ribbed)

OK, thanks. I was hoping there was an official online site I could buy the key from and a list of prices.

1320racer, since the 3 lb install, my 03 STR hits the rev limiter more often due to much more low end torque busting the tires loose. The STR needed an LSD, and more so when reaching 400 rwhp.

You can buy it online on the TOPIx - TOPIx site. Select Options tab, go to Programming subscriptions and select Add (to add one). A year would cost 780 GBP (incl VAT).

Thanks. I've used TOPIx, but not for that, and found trying to understand its options for this rather awkward.

Default dummy pulley "please" for 3 lb install

I have a pulley-puller to lend out when I'm complete with this install. Does anybody have a dummy pulley to lend? Eurotoys does not offer this item.

I plan to perform the install Friday, March 23. If you live nearby and want to watch, and/or do yours too, let me know.

Since I recently passed 60K miles, I'm likely going to change the problematic, and difficult to get to, coolant line under the supercharger. I've got some searching/reading to do between now and 3/23 to learn from those gracious enough to share their insights here and on other forums.

NEWS FLASH - Mike at Eurotoys said they are in negotiations to offer "Snow Performance".

If your pulling the SC off then you should get it ported while its off. Also seafoam the ICs they get coated with oil and lose efficiency, installing a pcv oil catch can will keep them from being recoated in the future as well as keeping oil out of the cylinders.

Also not a bad time to seal the silencer ports and/or change the S/C oil...
