and what do you think of the spongy feeling on the older models? what do you think is the cause of that? master cylinder design? thank you.
in my experience with the prefacelift ive found that if i brake hard, the pedal is hard and braking power is bad.
if i brake slower, the pedal is softer and by the time im pressing hard on it, i have enough vacuum to feel some strong braking power.
of course, the 355 brakes improved my braking, but still. it feels like a lack of vacuum in the booster.
at least there are no leaks on its vacuum line (tested with smoke)

lightly step on the brakes car stops immediately

thank you for the props!
the master cyl would fit but it doesn't have the pressure sensor in it no more. They moved in the abs unit unfortunately. So can't be done.
as i dont want to play with electronics on subject like brakes.
i will test the vacuum can, see if there is a benefit from increasing vacuum.
if nothing happens, i will revert.
again im happy with the improvement that the 355 front brakes delivered, and of course, i could even add slotted rotors for more bite,
but i feel like the booster can be more efficient.
that charger i had, had regular caliper and disks, nothing out of the ordinary, it wasnt a srt. It was the booster that was able to use them full capacity. Even if you google for example 2008 dodge brake booster, you can see they are voluminous.
i will keep yall updated.

UPDATE on the pads sitting wrong: Textar sells/used to sell incorrect/incompatible pads. Smaller pads. They fit in the grooves but wont sit/ bed right.
Now i have had Delphi pads for an year now. Mostly PROs about them: Very affordable and amazing, great stopping power even tho they are softer and create more dust. so they dont eat the expensive disks, so if you have slotted/drilled ones you could probably run 4 sets of delphies without changing rotors. No warping or shaking on braking. Cons: they wear faster and create dust.
I dont know why people criticize Delphi as its a british company and now it belongs to GM which makes 1000 hp factory corvettes and 800 Cadillac suvs. Cant get any better than this.

Merry Christmas and good luck!
yeah one friend called me just yesterday telling me he got the right pads TRW, propper size ( just like the old ones) and they sit at an angle. I suppose european distributors sell us crap. Tbh as i always do i stick to usa/uk/jap made parts and nothing else. dont trust capitalist germany anymore with their cheap rebranded imports, no offence. even the motor oil i use is eneos, they even got the perfect spec for jag/landrover/ford engines.
