Hi,
I opened my sunroof and from the outside of the car I notice that between the sunroof itself and the nice interial pad, or how is it called there lies two for me unknown parts. There are made from rubber as you can see on the photo. I do not know where are they from, and what is their purpose. Can you please tell me what is this part and what it's purpose?
And how I can put it back on its right place?
Thanks a lot!
John

Also I should also say that there were two of these parts.
I can't identify that part but here is the exploded parts diagram from JPART. I wonder if that part is not serviced separately and is part of an assembly?
The other thing is with the age of the car I am not sure what the repair parts situation is anymore. One thing to remember is Jaguar purchased the Moonroof assembly from Webasto. I have also attached a Webasto exploded parts diagram in case that will help.
Hopefully someone will see your thread and have an answer.
I am not sure but I think the facelift S-Type had a different Moonroof than the earlier cars?
