Default Teaser pics of my 19" staggered Forgestar wheels :)

The sales rep at modbargains.com where I ordered my staggered 19" Forgestar CF5 wheels sent me a pic of them today before they install the tires and ship them to me. I waited several weeks because they are custom built, but it was worth the wait! Here they are in the warehouse today, soon to be wrapped in rubber and holding up an STR

P.S., my Jaguar Zeus wheels are officially for sale, with Michelin Pilot Sports with lots and lots of tread! Lets say $1,250 for the Zeus wheels and the tires if anyone wants em

I almost can't wait to see how those look on your STR. I heard so much static about Forgestar a few years back that I actually stopped considering them as an option. PLEASE POST PICS! And thank you.

I'm interested to know how much 19" tires will cost and are you limiting yourself by going to 19's?

Thanks for sharing in my excitement guys! I look forward to sharing pics once they are mounted so anyone else interested in them can see what they look like (and to show off and finally introduce to you all the car I've been working on since I bought it last October!!!).

For those who asked what I paid, I can't recall what I paid when we did the transaction almost 6 or so weeks ago, but their website lists them at the same dimensions that I requested (19x8.5 and 19x10) for the same model, the CF5, for $1,559.95 for the four wheels without tires and hardware. I obviously paid extra for the tires (I got some with a Y speed rating to make sure I would never have to worry about high speed blowing tires for my occasional late night bursts from Miami to West Palm Beach lol). And I think I paid extra for the textured gunmetal powder coat and shipping.

NvmyJag, I don't understand your question "Iare you limiting yourself by going to 19's?" if you are asking if I'm losing performance, then the answer is that I'm probably gaining nominal performance actually. I asked for wider wheels than the OEM wheels, so I'm gaining traction (which never hurts these powerful cars). Also, they are rotary forged and lighter than the OEM cast wheels so I will not gain any weight for going up an inch.

Cat Man Do, the Zues wheels I'm selling off my car are not chrome, they are the regular silver.

Please post the weight of each wheel (with tire) when you get them.

I wasn't sure if the tire companies were 19" friendly and offered as wide of a selection as say 18" or 20" tires.

I can't wait to see them on the car

Looks good Under Pressure...I think I can translate for NvmyJag, I don't think he's an upsizing ****... I believe he's under the FALSE impression there are only a limited selection of 19 tires...

I understand now! THere are no shortage of various sizes, brands, and models of tires in 19". Many cars these days come with 19" standard. Its not any harder than to find tires for 18" or 20"

I know that the 18" tires I have on mine are a lot cheaper than they used to be. I know 20's are cheaper as well. I think it may be a little longer before the 19" tires are as popular and therefore will remain more somewhat expensive.

I've run 19's on my car for a while (hankook v12's) and they handle great and cost much less than the oem conti's. I think they may even handle better... While 19's used to cost a fortune, they're pretty common place these days so the cost has really dropped.

Can't wait to see the pics!

You guy they arrived yesterday, I put them on and they look S-I-C-K!!!! I am very busy til like Sunday though in order to clean car and take decent pics. Stay tuned!!! Pics are coming!!

I will say this, Forgestar knows what they are doing. Running 10" wide in the back allows for a ton of concave. After I installed them, they are so fat and flush with the fenders that I was worried they would rub. Nope! I have even gone over bumps and dips at speed with wheels turned as I worked up testing and zero rub. And mind you I did not stretch tires (I think stretching tires is idiotic). They just magicically fit flush, with normal tires, huge width, and no rubbing. Last night at around midnight I couldn't sleep so I went downstairs and stared at my car for like ten minutes, just admiring it.

I wasn't sure how concave wheels would look on an STR as opposed running wheels with a lip, but I will say I think it really looks perfect with our cars' round styling. They are gorgeous!!!
