Hard to believe I've owned and driven this car for 10 years. Fun to drive, fun to work on, and I have never gotten tired of it.

This is a 10 year old photo from a few days after I bought the car.

Very impressive, well-cared-for car. I am always impressed by an owner who has the skill to work on a Jaguar. Well done.

Same as any other car with a few exceptions. I have the manual (about 5000 pages) and that helps. I also attend YouTube University for instruction and I get a ton of help here. The most aggravating issue with the S-type is the engine bay clutter. Too much stuff, too little space.

Over 20 years and 230 000 miles on my 02 v8 4.0. Seems like the 1st gen was a lot more robust because my 03 v6 is quite the headache compared to it and I’ve only had it for a year and change.

I don't have the mileage your 02 has but I figure a decade or two with a car is pretty damn good. I like the paint. Mine still has the original paint except for the trunk lid/boot. An idiot opened a truck door and hit it 20 years ago. The patch paint started to peel so we took it to bare metal and fixed it.
