Default Thank for all the advice

If your going to own a Jaguar and are mechanically inclined there is not better place to go for advice than this forum.

I know electronics forwards and backwards, and can work my way thru most auto repairs, but the Jaguars are a different type of beast. I don't know which hobby is worse being a Jag owner or restoring color tv's from the mid to late fiftes.

The latter would be by far the worst for me.

Maybe you don't know computers?

I'm wondering what things you think are different? (Be aware all modern - say last 20 years - (petrol) cars have similar computers, electronics, mechanicals, etc. as you can see some info here www.onboarddiagnostics.com/page02.htm )

Electrical is one of my weaker points in cars. I figure it out but takes longer than the rest. I'd imagine parts are easier to find on the jags..

Twenty years ago when my car broke down first this I'd grab was the tool box, now when any of my cars shows the first signs of a problem, I reach for the laptop!!
