Ok, so a while back I happened upon a very different looking Mercedes Benz. One I have never seen before lol.

So, I stop to check it out. I pull up to take a picture, and the owner comes out to greet me. Nothing uncommon there..

As I am readying my cell phone camera the owner of the Mercedes begins to tell me how she used to have a "2012 Jaguar S Type R". She's going on about how she regrets getting rid of it and she really misses it.

So, of course I said "I would miss it too they are great cars but, I thought they were phased out in 2008?" She said "they were but, if you have connections you can get them up to 2012", they were only available in very limited numbers to very important people" HMMMM?..

That's news to me. So, I let this go on for a few more minutes but, the humor is really starting to get to me! Then, she proceeds to tell me that she will trade me, her car for my car, straight up because she misses her Jaguar so bad.

I tell her "but, it's only a 2003". "That's not a problem for me" she says. Trying to hold my composure, I giggled a little, then a lot! I couldn't take it anymore, so, I let the cat out of the bag.

I told her "that's not a Mercedes". She says, " of course it is, what are you talking about?" Again, I say "that's not a Mercedes". She replies, " it's 1 of a kind that's why you don't recognize it". "Oh? well that explains it".

I tell her again "that's not a Mercedes" but, this time I make it sound like.."that Sonata Mercedes".. this goes on a few more times.

I finally can't take anymore because I'm dying with laughter on the inside. I break out in uncontrollable laughter, and she just stands there with a stone cold face.

So I hopped back in my car and drove away thanking her for my lesson in cars.



What do you think? Should I have let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip by? Hahaha.. some people!

 

Have to admit...it's convincing. I wonder if he changed the door sills and other nameplates too?

 

Maybe my neighbor could sell her his 300M Bentley?

Hmm I wonder if its Georges (Androulakis) buddy in Jersey that "special ordered" this Benz.

I dont know if im allowed to say this but.,,, in these 2 stories were these two people "from the ghetto" because I experience that a lot here in Philadelphia

 

I have to admit- that Merc does look quite convincing Good story, it is funny how people think they can fool strangers easily. Here, in Eastern Europe we have old Soviet cars and many people make them look like Mercs, or BMWs or other "decadent" Western vehicles.

 

Wow, certainly put a smile on my face....lol
