My Jaguar S Type is beeping from under the bonnet every 30 minutes or so, for 20 - 60 seconds or so. I've checked the battery (fine) the doors are all closed properly, glove box is closed, No other warning lights/messages or anything and the car drives perfectly normally. What can it be? Its driving me insane!! Thanks!

Um.. its unlikely, the car is 2004, the previous owner didnt seem to use it at all and I had a total bargain! Nothing has ever been wrong apart from this anomaly *touch wood*

So I doubt there would be an aftermarket alarm on it, however its possible the siren itself is 'loose' or just broken!

Another thought however; when I tested that the alarm system responds (i.e. I left someone in the car to see if it went off, and , entered with just the key, and it went off ) the noise that was made was the horn intermittent hoot, along with the very same "beep beep beep" - however is there supposed to be a separate siren?
