Default URGENT! Gear Box Fault, Park brake Fault - S-type 2.7D 6 speed auto

I have a 'Gear Box Fault', 'Park brake Fault' - on S-type 2.7D 6 speed automatic.

I had a DPF fire that burnt some of the floor and the transmission wiring loom, although the key was off when it got burnt, so no power to transmission.

I have replaced everything required including taransmission filter, oil and sleeve, but still have faults on dash and it won't turn over. It is in park properly, and I can't get it out of park either.

Does the system need resetting or could there be another fault?

Thanks.

Excepting the fire, I'd say "flat battery" as gearbox fault and park brake fault are commonly associated with a weak battery.But...you've checked/renewed that already, right?

Default problems coming out of park

had my car serviced today mentioned to the mechanic that sometines it takes quite a while to get my car out of park he checked the 2 bolts on the side of the trannie we noticed when the problem of getting the car from park to drive accours the brake lights dont come on.Once it shifts into drive and brake is still depressed the brake lights come on. The mechanic said it could be a faulty brake pedal switch. Was wondering if purchasing some contact cleaner will do any good before I go and purchase the switch or switches this is a str pre facelift model
