Wheel compatibility

Does anyone know if 18" wheels from a 2004 XJR would fit an S-Type?

A friend has four mounted snow tires for sale...

The offset pattern of 108 appears the same for both vehicles in theory. I have not altered from the original wheels on my Jag. But others on the forum may help in practice if it has been done before.

The website below gives the XJR and S type as the same and it goes through all the year models.

As well the Coventry website thinks so. But have a proviso for "test fitting" first

Q: Will Coventry wheels fit all Jaguars?
A: These wheels were designed to fit on Jaguar X-Type, S-Type, XJ6, XJ8, XJR, XK8, XK, XKR. Of course we always recommend test fitting for proper fitment prior to mounting of tires on your Jaguar, especially on heavily modified vehicles.

Great, thanks

But can anyone tell me the difference between on 2004 XJ Sedan and a 2004 XJ8/XJR? They have different offsets.

The table from discount wheel warehouse has these models showing the difference.

Looking at the table the 2004 XJ has an offset of 4.75 inch (121mm) and 2004 XJR has an offset of 4.25 inch (108mm) and the S type has an offset of 4.25 inch (108mm).

So. going by the table, if you have XJR wheels they will fit your S type. But if you have XJ wheels they won't.

Ya, I saw that and was confused about the difference between a '04 XJ Sedan and a '04 XJ8? XJ8 and XJR wheels would fit, XJ Sedan not...
