Does anyone know if a front wiring harness from a 3.0 will work on a 4.0? My harness from the passenger side computer all the way from the front lights and fuel rail, etc. to the driver side computer has been compromised. I can't find a harness online for my exact engine and model but there are a few for the 3.0. I have a 2000 S-Type 4.0 and no luck at my local wrecking yards.

 

According to JPEC there's no difference, there are three harnesses based on VIN

Up to N13088, from N13089 to N 52057 and from N52048.

 

Thanks. I pulled a 2001 Lincoln LS harness from a yard before taking out the old and happened to check the brake controller connection and it was not the same. A lot of the other parts mesh but not this.

 

PM me - I believe I have a front harness for your car - I have to look at the part (haven't been in my parts shed all winter) but it is definitely for a 2000 S Type - 4.0.
