My 2006 jaguar s type won't start and wont attempt to turn over. It just beeps rapidly when I take the key out (about 30-35 beeps) and says parkbrake fault.

at first, all the dash lights would flash while beeping when trying to start it up. Now, it's just doing the above. My battery is only a year old and I just had my check engine light reset if that means anything.

any ideas?

 

I'm not an expert w/these S-types but here are my guesses :

- Low voltage
- Internal short in battery
- Poor grounds
- Starter going bad
- transmission not in park or neutral (P or N light *must be lit up*)
