Default Sorry to see you go

Wow, what a change in life that you'll realize when not much happens when you first step on the accelerator of that big 4x4...? Perhaps both the STR and the 4x4 can share the driveway? Otherwise, you'll have a blast with the Jet Skis.

Would you sell the wheels separate? Also, couldn't you add a tow hitch to the STR? One jet ski would be within its towing capacity I imagine.

I have the 4x4 u need, AND it's already lifted, with the 33's you want on there, and brand new 17" rims...

Now, your car is worth a bit more than my truck, but nothing writing a check can't solve....

03 GMC Sierra Extended Cab 4x4
Pewter Metalic / Grey Cloth

Mods are as follows:
(all have less than 500 miles)

3" Rough Country lift - New Torsion Keys / blocks on rear leafs
Rancho Rs6000 shocks all around
Rough Country Steering Stabilizer

Eagle Alloys AE027 17x9 wheels
General Grabber 33x12.5x17's - Yes 12.5" wide

Pendaliner Bed liner with Wade Bed liner caps

MBRP Stainless 3" Catback Exhaust - Sounds tough but not obnoxious.

Dual Double Din DVD headunit with touchscreen Ipod control etc.
Motorola T605 Bluetooth hands free kit / Streaming BT audio

4300k hid headlights.

Full tuneup / service / all fluids (I own a shop, did this all myself).

4.8l vortec ls motor / 4l60e Trans.

I also have a set of z71 fender flares that I need to get color matched, and some other stuff...

Ready to tow whatever you can throw at it... Has a class III hitch and an electronic trailer brake controller already setup. Hook up and go.

I emailed myself a few pics from my phone, but I can get you a full history / pics as needed. e-mail me, let's talk

George - I will be emailing you today from work after I handle a few things at the office. If you have a chance in the interim, see if you can snap some photos of the interior of your truck (including back seats - I have to see if it will fit a baby seat and booster seat) as well as the front. Thanks!

I don't have the truck with me at work. It's at my shop. It's not a daily driver, it's a truck for when I need a truck. It hauls stuff, tows stuff etc.

This truck started life as a customers truck, which he just drove (alot). We serviced the truck religiously, and when the transmission failed he decided it was time for something new and we ended up cutting a deal on it. The truck has a rebuilt 4l60e around 800 miles ago (like I said I don't dd this thing). With all the paperwork / warranty.

But like you, I mod everything lol...

I wanted a truck that was "tonka tough" but still useable. The only thing it would need would be a step if you are on the shorter side, my pudgy little brother struggles a bit to get in it. But Everything works, no issues.
It's never been in the woods or the mud, and the finish is at 85%. I'll discuss everything with you in detail.

Inside needs a good detail (nothing I can't have my guys do).

Take care,

George

George - I am actually looking for something a bit more gently used, but thanks!

Everyone else, I am not in a rush to get rid of the favorite car I have owned yet so I will still be on here and hopefully more active again that my personal and professional life have somewhat levelled.

I have a relative with a Mercedes ML that has been pampered, it def has towing capacity for a jet ski but there are no lift kits or offroad style wheels available for it so I am going to either wait until a perfect trade comes my way, or I am going to keep the STR and buy the cheapest, most reliable used vehicle I can find that can safely tow it. We shall see!

I may put it for sale and by my mother's ML. I haven't decided yet. In the interim, anyone else with a 4x4 truck or SUV, please let me know. Or if someone wants to make an offer on my STR. I'm open to selling, trading, or keeping lol.

Keep it. The seasons that your not towing, etc. and beastly beautiful sedans such as your STR pass gently by....

I've sobered up guys and decided to keep my STR. If I need to tow jet ski to vacation destination I will just rent something to do so (I'm pretty sure you can rent a Ford Truck or E150 van to haul). For the two or three times a year I would do this not worth getting rid of my love, although I did see some pretty tasty lifted trucks and jeeps in my search. Anyway, please delete thread moderators. I've come to my senses lol.

That a boy! Renting or borrowing a van to haul the ski's and coolers is necessary and much more affordable for a great time.
