I'd start by checking the sliders on the caliper...

I'd start by checking the sliders on the caliper are not siezed first.
Remove the pads and you should be able to move the caliper back and forth freely, if you cant then the sliders are full of crap...

I set a new thread on the sounds of the passive alarm against the sound of the proper alarm. They are 2 completely different sounds. One sounds like a siren, the other is obviously the cars own horn....
