IIRC correctly, the three pin connector was connected to an external battery charger during the boat trip over. The pink with spade lug female is after market, IMO.

Make sure that you have 12V at the starter before you go to all this trouble - it may be a faulty relay way before the starter motor, itself, or as said above, one of the 12V bulkhead pass-throughs...

Same errors I was getting, cleaning the Throttle Position Sensor connector's pins fixed it. I used Radio SHack contact cleaner/lubricant on both sides of the connector pair - worked like a champ.
