Short answer is yes. Before removing the old one out (assuming itís not in 2 pieces), I tape one end of the old one to one end of the new one and just fish it on thru.

The infamous A drum is in the process of breaking in the transmission. As the crack grows on the drum, the worse itíll get. Itíll feel like you got rear ended taking off from a complete stop.
