Actually if you find a descent used one, put a lot, but don't fill it with some grease (Mobil 1 or Valvoline synthetic) and zip the ends. That should keep the boot moist and prevent cracking along...

Your misfire is intensified when you turn on the AC...so fix the misfire, whether it be a bad plug and/or coil pack. I'd replace both. The P1316 is a result of the p0304 in emissions.
