You may have gotten lucky. Obviously you had a major leak, where you know youíve got a rear main seal leak. This could have become dislodged, leaked, and then worked back into shape.

Go for it. One thing not in Rev. Samís video is to check you can open the fill bolt, before draining, otherwise you could be in major trouble.
