Our XK8 came with the darkest window tint on sides and rear, and just a slightly lighter one on the front....

But they look great on the XK8.

Polishing those headlight covers is not really a big job, they will come back nice and shiny (I did them on our previous SLK)....

I presume it is a left-over from the time that manufacturers went electronic, but customers did not have the tools like OBD2 readers.
