Honestly, I don't think there will bem uch difference between the wires, unless they are a different diameter. Either 7 or 8mm is fine. I'd pick whatever is cheaper.

It is an acknowledged feature of the V12 oil pump that it can whine or often moan with cold oil. I doubt this is anything other than a cold-fluid generated noise.
