Trans is not involved with the fronts.

Any competent mechanic should be able to cope with brake issues.

A cheap tool will only read the PCM, not any of the modules you'd need to read, though...

Also, if you fix the actual fault the MIL (proper name) will go off. No need to clear the codes at all.

Be wary of ignoring codes. Can often result in bigger bills.

When a car maker says use once only I do that. When they just say to replace I look closely to see if I can figure why - sometimes it's to speed things up for their mechanics e.g. by supplying bolts...

A good battery would be 12.6 so yours is near dead. Still may not be it but it's a big suspect.

Otherwise go back to basics for a petrol engine...

It's a normal a/c that any a/c shop can handle - efficiently and cheaply.

(Unless it's a failed DCCV but then the dealer may be useless anyway - read up on here if it turns out...

I've never had a fuse blow but if I did and it happened twice or more I'd know there was an underlying fault - and if that goes unfixed...
