Are you comfortable jumping relay to raise rear quarter windows?

In the trunk there’s small relays, in the fuse box, that control the up/down of the quarter windows.

If you’re up to it, they can be jumped to raise the quarter windows. Won’t fix the door window...

All your warnings usually come if you drop below 12V so many members keep the car on a battery tender even if standing for a just a few days.

Our cars are old and it wouldn’t be unusual for bits...

Why the need to cover these bottom bolts?

If you need to cover these bottom rear seat fixing bolts, that must mean you actually have passengers in the back! And they fit! Wow!

As the bolts are not visible, I suspect any old cover will do....

Yeah it's a mystery. I've never experienced a loss of power in my XK8 but I did have it in my L322 Range Rover, where one of the V8 cylinders didn't work. Strangely that didn't flag a CEL warning...
