3. wiring / connector / fuse fault

This may mean some have the wrong handbook (which is odd, but stuff happens).

Bad idle may well be an air leak in which case look at the many threads about fuel trims.

Thing is that by clearing the codes you've cleared the OBD monitors when what you want is to see if those rich codes flag and if so see why.

Clearing codes is stopping you getting useful data.
