It still can be bogus reading. For instance, if there is a 20 V impulse coming from alternator it can give 20 V reading on the voltmeter, while the effective voltage is in allowed range 14 V or less....

I don't think that alternator is even capable of producing 20 V at idle. You would need to rev up for such a voltage.

I use graphite grease to lubricate computer fan motors, I'd use it for any small electrical motor. It will lubricate even when it dries off.

Did I miss it or nobody mentioned steering rack bushings? When I replaced mine with stiffer aftermarket bushings it gave me much more precise steering experience.

Splitting the rear brake caliper?

I'm slowly getting to the point with my rear brakes overhaul project where I have to decide what method to use to replace the rotors. Right now methinks maybe splitting the calipers is the way to go....
